We are looking for an experienced and motivated Assistant Farm Manager to join our clients team from 1st June. The farm runs on 765 hectares and has excellent facilities including 60 bale rotary shed with meal feeders and milk hub. The farm also has a cow barn for 800 cows. We run a split calving system with 800 cows calving in the autumn and 1200 in the spring. This is no ordinary farm and we are looking for an extraordinary person helping us to drive production and efficiency on farm. You must be a skilled pasture manager and be able to focus on efficient pasture utilization having strong technical skills. Along with this you also need to be a people person being able to assist in the leading of our team of six full time people plus casuals, alongside our long term farm manager and another production manager. Due to the size of the team you need to be able to relate to people from different backgrounds and have the confidence to support and train people where needed.Due to the scale of the operation this position is equivalent to a farm manager’s position on a smaller property so may suit a farm manager coming from a smaller operation wanting to step into large herd management in the future. Our client has a history of training people that move forward in the dairy industry so personal development is a priority.The position comes with a three bedroom home and competitive remuneration package and fantastic roster.
