Our client will be running 1700 cows this coming season through a 60 bale rotary (fully automatic).  They are milking 1100 cows twice a day and 600 cows once a day.  (Don't be put off by the number of cows, there will be a great rotation with time out of the shed).This farm is on 600 ha of rolling country, irrigated by pivots and K-lines.  It has excellent infrastructure and is well run.We are seeking an experienced Assistant Herd Manager who has a genuine passion for dairy farming.  What you will need to bring to this role is proven experience in cowshed management including animal health detection.  You will also need to have good all-round experience out of the shed, including farm maintenance and an understanding of pasture management.We are looking for someone that is self-motivated, works well within a multi-cultural team and is willing to learn and develop.  Training will be provided where needed.You will need to have a clear criminal history and no drug or alcohol issues to be considered for this role.The farm is located only 15 minutes west of Oamaru.Accommodation A comfortable, large 3 bedroom family home. 50000 AUD New Zealand - NZ Otago Rest of Otago Oamaru
