.We have an exciting opportunity very close to Whakatane for a Farm Manager. Start date options between 15 March and 1 June 2021 are available.This innovative Family Trust owner has completed investments over the last 5 years  in modern technology and "clean green" farming practices with a focus on production gains through balanced, sustainable farming practices.Although the farm had performed well for many successful years under a number of 50:50 Share-milkers, the farm moved back to a farm manager model in 2014 in order to make the necessary capital investments and secure long term environmental compliance.Accommodation for the successful applicant in a modern house in Whakatane town could be provided.Now the objectives are about maximising the benefit of the investments through best practices, paying particular attention to herd genetics and breeding, pasture regeneration and reducing dependence on off farm grown supplemental feed   The hard yards have been done, and having seen the investments through, the current manager has decided to move on.Currently milking 430 cows through a unique fully roofed 40 aside herringbone milking platform, yards and feedlot with shed automation.  The flat farm is made up of a milking platform and 2 separate blocks used for winter grazing, summer harvesting and young stock rearing.Our clients are looking for a manager who will share their vision and with it bring proven experience in animal welfare, health and reproduction management, alongside best pasture management disciplines.The trust values its employees.  The new manager will be expected to make time to encourage and develop the skills and knowledge of two other team members reporting to him/her.Most of all, we are looking for applicants with a positive attitude and who are genuinely enthusiastic about best practice in the industry.  Integrity and honesty are critical and an ability and willingness to be a hands on leader is essential.There will be an excellent remuneration package for the successful candidate. Primary ITO qualifications or relevant qualifications are required.    70000 AUD New Zealand - NZ Bay of Plenty Whakatane
