Experience 2IC – 30 mins Whangarei

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced 2IC located in the winter less north.  If you are looking for a sub-tropical climate to work in, with stability, then look no further. Located in Mangakahia Valley in the Northland region, Tikoki is 26km to the east of Whangarei.  We are looking for a experienced 2IC, milking 600 cows through a 40 ASHB with cup removers and auto drafting.  Feeding Silage, PKE and Maize on the feed pad.  The farm is split calving - March and June. Accommodation consists of either a 3 or 4 bedroom house.  Best appropriate house t suit the incoming staff.  Current roster is 2 days every 2nd wee, followed by one day mid week. We are looking for someone who shares our passion for the industry, who is prepared to work hard as part of the team.. You will also be known for your reliability and stable work history.  We are ideally seeding applicants with experience in pasture management, tractor driving skills, animal health and husbandry and good stockmanship.  You are required to be focused, fit energetic, honest and to simply share a laugh.All applicants must have a clear drug and criminal history.Position starts 1st June.
