Our client is running a large farming unit in the Taupo area, where farms range from 1,000 to 1,900 cows. These are well run farms with excellent infrastructure including modern rotary milking sheds. We are seeking Farm Assistants for the coming season, who enjoy working as a part of a large team.Your daily duties will include milking, stock work and general farm duties. To succeed in this role, you must have milking experience, good animal husbandry practices and take pride in looking after yourself and the farm. You must also have experience in operating a 2-wheel motorcycle and tractors. A relevant level 2 Agricultural qualification will also be beneficial.Our client takes health and safety seriously and care is taken with both team members and farm animals. This role offers you a great level of support where you are given a chance to develop your farming skills within a progressive organisation.Our clients are committed to providing a safe and drug free workplace and the successful applicant will be required to pass a drug test and complete a criminal background check as part of the employment process. Therefore you will need to have a clear drug and criminal history to be considered.
