Farm Assistant (880156) - Good team environment

We are seeking an enthusiastic farmer to become part of our effective team, where everyone enjoys working towards the farm goals.  This is a well set up farm currently running 980 cows.  We are milking through a 50 bale rotary with very good infrastructure working an 11 on /3 off roster.  It is a grass based system utilizing supplements where required.

We are seeking someone who is passionate about the dairy industry and would like to take responsibility for their role.  Ideally you will have at least 1 years farming experience, a good understanding of farming practices and be confident around stock.  You will also have an eye for detecting animal health issues and be comfortable operating farm machinery.

There is a good team environment on farm, therefore you will be someone who likes to work as part of a team and has an open and honest nature.  You will also have good attention to detail, use of initiative and proven time management skills. 

There are opportunities for development as we are supportive of staff progression and PrimaryITO training is encouraged.

The farm has a strict no drug policy and you should have a clear police history.

Accommodation is shared with another employee within a comfortable 3 bedroom home.
