Our client has been running this family farm for many years with a solid production history and well established 280 cow herd.  He is now seeking an Assistant Herd Manager to assist him in the day to day farm duties, where you will have opportunity to take responsibility for your role. Our client is seeking someone who shares their passion for the industry, is prepared to work hard and enjoys taking responsibility.  We are looking for candidates who ideally have 1 year’s dairy experience, with a good understanding of animal health requirements and cowshed management.  As this farm has rolling to steep contour you will need to be physically fit and confident working on this type of terrain.  Our client is also supportive of development and training where required.  We are seeking someone who possesses great attention to detail and takes pride in their work, you will also be reliable, enthusiastic and can work well as a small team.   You should have a solid work history, a clear police record and no alcohol/drug issues.  Drivers license required.   25 AUD New Zealand - NZ Waikato
