Farm Assistant or Herd Manager

Farm Assistant or Herd Manager required to milk 550 cows through a 40 bale rotary shed in Wellsford north of Auckland.

We run 2 herds.  You will be assisting with daily operational tasks as directed, including feeding, milking, animal health, effluent.  You need to understand farm compliance, health and safety and general wellbeing.  Environmental farm policies and animal welfare.  We are looking for someone who is calm with stock and confident.

Experience preferred. Most of all, you will be fit and motivated.  You will need a happy, positive mindset.

Roster 11 on 3 off.

A 3 bedroom house is available.

 

We are a Contract Milkers with one Nepalese Farm Assistant.  Our farm is gentle rolling, some steep.
